HEAT EXCHANGER SEALING

Sealing heat exchangers in the standard way involves the use of conventional gaskets, from NCAF materials, metal-plastic, PTFE, metal, to elastomers and other sealing materials according to the operating conditions of the exchanger to be sealed.

 

With most heat exchangers, sealing can be done by applying new sealing technologies and using new sealing materials:

ePTFE tapes - expanded PTFE (-240 / + 260ºC),

LEG - laminated expanded graphite for temperatures up to 450 ºC (steam up to 650 (C).

 

When using these materials, high machining of the sealing surfaces is not required and lower tightening torques are required. 


In addition to the production of standard heat exchanger gaskets or the purchase of sealing materials for sealing heat exchangers, we also offer the service  sealing consultations for all types and shapes of heat exchangers, including plate heat exchangers. Production of economical seals for pressure tests.
