LEG (Laminated Expanded Graphite)
LEG sheets are made of pure expanded flexible graphite and do not contain any other fibers or sintered material. They are universally usable for sealing gaseous and liguid media. They are chemically resistant to all media, have excellent heat resistance, can be stored for a long time, do not need anti-stick coatings / layers and are very resistant to temperature changes. Due to their specific structure, expanded graphite plates are suitable for use at extremely low or high temperatures, with highly corrosive and aggressive media, for standard and sensitive flange materials (glass, plastic, ..) and for sealing gases and superheated water steam. They can be reinforced with SS foil, perforated sheet metal, mesh, glass mesh,…
In general, their field of application is: - 240 to + 450 ° C pH 0-14, for steam sealing 650 ° C, inert gases up to 3,000 ° C, fire resistance 900 ° C
LEG-F: e-graphite sheet reinforced with 0.05 mm thick SS foil, except for professional production, also suitable for simple manual cutting of the required shapes without special equipment and tools.
